LEGO Aircraft carrier

LEGO_Carrier.jpg

15 ft LEGO model of the USS Harry S Truman Aircraft Carrier

I found this on Make Magazine’s Blog, and it’s really impressive! I always thought it would be cool to build a really big LEGO thing like this, although I can’t imagine spending $20,000 to do it.

This is a seriously impressive LEGO build. It was built by German father Malle Hawking and here is his photo gallery including several news articles from Europe about this ship. There are lots of cool details to check out, this really is impressive.

Unusual Hotrod

Notice anything odd about this hotrod?

Odd Hotrod

Those are not velocity stacks, that, in fact, is the exhaust. This hotrod was spotted at the Wings and Wheels show in Osceola, WI this past weekend.

Eight carbs, with the intake and exhaust ports reversed. I doubt there is any real advantage to this, but it sure is cool

1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Estate Station Wagon

I don’t know much about this car other than that it was at the Wings and Wheels show in Osceola, WI this past weekend. It was listed as a prototype and is really, really cool!

If anybody knows more about this car, please let me know because Google is blissfully ignorant on it’s existence.

Jet Powered Winged Backpack

Yves Rossy, Fusionman

When I was a kid, I had a GI Joe vehicle that was basically a backpack with tiny wings and a jet engine in it. At the time it seemed extremely cool, but unrealistic. How could wings so small and a tiny engine possibly allow a man to fly? Despite this, it seems that it is not only possible, but it’s now been done.

Yves Rossy in Switzerland, has built just such a vehicle, although withouth the guns that the GI Joe version had. He has lots of photos and videos on his website that are pretty amazing. Check it out:
